The complimentary colors and angles are inviting and the mood is set. The boat docks as the early evening casts warm reflections of a hard day's work.

Please, take a second and tell us your thoughts on this painting.

The amazing use of colors and detail. I enjoy the subject matter and composition.

The colors are great and the detail is impressive, the time spent on sketching and getting ready to begin the picture and even all the stages one must go through to wet and dry makes me exhausted thinking about it. YOu need plenty of time to be this good. The painting makes me wonder how you keep things so crisp and clear. I do watercolor and hope to accomplish something of the same quality. Thanks for the great example.

Steve, I know this boat! I think I am looking at this from the bottom of the webpage up! I couldn't believe my eyes, this boat docks right near Little Old Lady Trading Post on Bayshore! I would have known it even without the caption! Your use of color once again is AMAZING! WOW... Elisa

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND MY VERY BEST WISHES FOR A FEW NEW DECADES!! ALL IS CALM, AND ALL IS WELL AT THIS END. I HOPE THE SAME FOR YOUR END. JIM

Great color, great subject and perspective. My wife and I fish, and spend a lot of time at 22nd Street Landing. This painting looks like home Jim Temple PS Hi Steve and Trudy!! Just browsed the gallery. Very nice!! Hope all is well with you. Jim

Steve, I grew up in Aransas Pass, Texas. My parents were shrimpers. About the time I was born, my father built a wooden shrimpboat that looked very similar to this. It was named "Rose" and was a light turquoise and white. The only difference is that the nets hung from the back of the cabin and the engine hatch and bait boxes were in front of the cabin. My dad died 15 years ago this fall and the steering wheel from the "Rose" hangs in my home. Thanks for the memories.

I haven't anything profoundly artful to say. I grew up in Niceville, Florida, and naturally I feel a profound loyalty to anyone who would appreciate Niceville enough to commemorate it in a painting.

fantastic!

Excellent hues/colors and fantastic detailing. All of your paintings are of exceptional highest quality, but I love this one because there is a lot of work here and will show off well in any room; a favorite wall that will draw people to it like a magnet. Keep up the wonderful talent. Martha McCully, watercolor artist

This painting is of a boat that was parked at my family's docks. The owner of the boat at that time is a good family friend. I have lived in Niceville my entire life, and that painting brings back great memories of that exact dock. What a surprise.

My family is a long line of commercial fishemen on the Mississippi Gulf coast. This reminds me of a time when I was younger and vacationing on the gulf....good times. Do you have prints of paintings available? If so let me know. Thanks Larry

I'm 42. I spent the first 40yrs on this planet in my hometown-Niceville. This painting inspires me to both move back home and pick up my watercoler bushes and go to work.

Hi Steve Like your new work and your use of color and light is even more amazing. Especially like your composition of the the Niceville Nets. Keep up the good work.
