Pine trees silhouette the warm evening sunset as blue shadows fall on the Bay's white sand dunes. Wild flowers catch the evening light as they perfume the sea breeze. Please, take a second and tell us your thoughts on this painting. What others have said about Red Sky: I just found this site. This painting appeals to me because as a resident of Alabama and Tennessee most of my life, our family vacations were spent mostly in Florida.....up and down the coast and visiting most of the beaches. This brings back wonderful memories of Florida.....the look, the sounds, the feel, the smells! Thanks for the memories. I love to do landscapes in whatever I do, whether it be pencil, paint, pointallism, or watercolors. The red sky really brings out the pine trees and the wildflowers. the first thing that attracts me to any painting is rich, transparent color and use of unexpected color. The shadows on the sand in Red Sky are wonderful as is the delicate tracery of the trees against the sky. I am new to watercolor painting and am enjoying browsing the web and seeing other artists work. I hope one day I can use color, light and shadow and create a Red Sky of my own. thanks.
