The Fort Walton Beach area is noted as a hot spot for catamaran racing. Carlton Tucker won 3rd at the Hobie 16 World Championships in 1993. Please, take a second and tell us your thoughts on this painting. What others have said about Beach Cat: very interesting sie oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo I particularly like the sky and the water in this painting as I know they are difficult to get them to come out so beautifully. The light and reflection are also very well done. This is a fantastic painting, I wish I could own it. The simple beauty of the lines & colors. I am in awe of your treatment of waves. The form (triangular) is classic & your painting shows why. Pure, simple beauty. Great composition, mood, light and water. Awesome Dude! A wondrous combination of flowing pastels--it is soothing yet quietly electrifying (a skin tingling quality). Thanks!! I have a huge love for the ocean, & have not yet been able to capture the whole feeling of it like you have in a watercolor painting, I love ALL the paintings of yours with the ocean but for some reason theres something about this one that draws me in, I've not yet seen the ocean, but with this paticular piece, I feel i have The colors, calm intensity. The gulf. Being from Florida The colors are inbred.............sheila howard Sometimes the paintings, novels or songs that I like best are those which I can't put my finger on the reason. I sail, but I have never been on a cat, so I'm not sure why this appeals to me, I just know that I looked at it for several minutes and it look me to that place. It reminds me of the south Texas gulf, probably because of all the sun. Great stuff! Hi Steve, The painting is lovely and so detailed. it was a delight to see and perked up my mood for the day. Have a great painting day. Watercolour is the hardest painting medium and rendering sea waves is the most difficult subject.Winslow Homer was the Master. Your sea is a success!! Be proud . Don't give up. Mes salutations et succès. Giclée prints that can be purchased featuring Beach Cat:
