The colors in this painting set the mood as Vitamin Sea, resident of Destin Harbor, Florida, docks in the emerald green water. Captain Artie Fortner takes great pride in his beautiful fishing boat. Please, take a second and tell us your thoughts on this painting. What others have said about Vitamin Sea: This is really a very good painting. It is sharp and the colors are well blended and seemed to be well controlled for a water color. The theme is inviting and the total overall impression is a relaxing environment. worked on the boat for almost two years off shore also saved it from a rope in the prop 2 days from land. lots of good times and good fishing thanks to my old capton Tim chafin beautiful work lovely colours This watercolor compels a visit to the coast. Yes, there are problems: hurricanes, etc. But the boat life-style and local color- can best be reflected on the Gulf . This artist creates this atmosphere in a most creative way. I like the water under the dock I love seascape! There's something in water that draws my full attention on it. Your painting shows perfect ingredients to leave me in awe! I think true lovers of watercolor paintings will feel the same I do upon seeing this beautiful piece. Steve, you're one, if not the 'best'. Keep the brush busy! Thanks. Rey. Steve, Your bravery in experimenting in colors makes your painting emits 'rainbow of perfections' Care to share your techniques??? I was a resident of Destin for 13 years and miss it dearly, except for the growth. Your painting looks as though I am standing on the dock looking at the boat itself. Great painting and I am sure Artie is very pleased. I know Artie personally and have been a friend since highschool. He is very proud of his boat and I am sure he is very proud of this painting. I am also a watercolor artist and I know great work when I see it...And you are very very good, Steve...Impressive vivid colors...Fantastic website too... Loved the use of color and the mood in this paintings Hi, I very much like your work. It was either "Calm after the storm" or this one as my favorite. I am a 'very' new beginer with watercolors so forgive me for not knowing the proper terms for discription. I only know what appeals to me, I found these pictures brought me directly to where they are. I love the detail, I do not know what type of watercolor tenique you are using here but it is something I would like to try. Do you Teach? Have videos available? I would be very interested. thanks, molly Hi, I very much like your work. It was either "Calm after the storm" or this one as my favorite.
